It’s hard to believe that we’re on the cusp of what could be another major round of console releases already. After all, it seems as if we were just introduced to the PS3 and developers are pumping out great, high-quality games for it at a record pace. Having said that, the prospect of better hardware and more advanced capabilities is extremely electrifying to say the least. Then there’s the reality that with a new plateau of possibilities comes a new series of more advanced software; certainly some of you are also dreaming of the graphical capabilities which are almost within our grasp. This is a very exciting time for gamers to say the least.

Currently, there are 3 big rumors surrounding the Playstation 4, each one of them dealing with different production aspects and capabilities. First off, there’s the rumor which has been spread by NVIDIA of all groups, which purports that this upcoming generation might actually be the last official batch of “gaming consoles” that we’ll ever see. Yes, you read that right. It seems that most companies are pushing for alternatives which make use of cloud technology, which virtually eliminates the need for individuals to purchase self-contained systems. This might very well also change the relationship which gamers have with software ownership as well.

Then there’s the rumor that the PS4 is actually going to support 4k resolution, which is a pretty amazing prospect. What does this mean for gamers, exactly? Well, imagine being able to increase your HD resolution by a factor of 4. In short, if this rumor is true, it will herald a new age of ultra-realistic graphics of the likes the world has been anticipating for quite some time. This of course sparks the long-held debate surrounding the supposed “graphical wall” in gaming, where everything becomes so realistic looking that it’s basically impossible to improve upon it from a graphical standpoint (as the onscreen action is virtually identical to real life). Once this is a reality, the need for additional consoles will no longer be required.

Finally, we have some official statements from Sony regarding the continued support for PS3, which is slated to continue on for at least 3 more years (perhaps more). Their mindset is to simply keep up with the current development pace for the PS3 until it begins to run out of steam; this is more-or-less the same exact strategy they applied with the PS2 after the PS3 was released. Why is this important, you ask? If Sony is anticipating that developers are going to continue to focus on the PS3, it is highly likely that we might not see as many truly groundbreaking titles for the PS4 emerge for quite some time.

That’s all we’ve got for you right now, people. We’ll be sure to keep you updated with any additional juicy bits of Intel we are able to recover.

Pretty amazing for the PS3 getting a major upgrade.  Well to summarize all of it down

1.) Cloud gaming well be more better. Looks like either the cloud gaming will be 2 GB, double the GB on you PS4 console, or maybe 10 GB, maybe more. It wasn't in the article, but that is the rumor I made up and some of the guys I know do the same thing to.

2.)  Better graphics,  it is suppose to be four times the factor of the either 1080 HD or 720 HD, don't know, they just said it  was to be way better by 4 times the factor. Which I do Agree, that if that happens, it will be the best console ever. Till you know, maybe the next generation of console will bet the PS4, don't know how, but it would be true ( In my prediction in time, about near 2025, Laugh out loud, I made a black ops 2 joke. Not really )

3.) They will produce and or make games into the PS4, and PS3 consoles of the same game. Like for example, Call of Duty 5 ( also known as World at War ) was in the PS2 format and the PS3 format. Which would be great. Like for example, if Resident Evil 8 or 9 comes out on lets just say, Oct. 29 of 2017,  it would be for the PS3 and the PS4, which would be great for the people who doesn't have a bank following with them. The Resident Evil 8 or 9 example was just the time I made up, don't take that to seriously.

I will be doing borderlands 2 game review on this blog, so make sure you stay in tone. I know I am a little late, but I had school, I most likely going to have to spend more time blogging and gaming then school. But I will still do my School stuff. But I am going to risk it for you guys.

Borderlands just came out 18 days ago, which I didn't even know. But it has came out, you guys probably already saw, herd, talk, bought, or all of the answers, but I am going to do it on this blog. And if I record it, it    would probably be with a not so good of a video, because I am going to record with a webcam, so that is not so good. But at least there will be a video.

I will do more posts tomorrow where I do got some more news.

Borderlands 2 Release is Marred By the Misogyny of Gearbox Software and Duke Nukem Forever

Tuesday should be a fairly happy day for me as a gamer because it marks the release of the hotly anticipated Borderlands 2. As a game that has been well received by critics, I should be giddy with joy that I may soon get to play it. However, the game is developed by Gearbox Software, makers of Duke Nukem Foreverand, as a protest to what I perceive to be a misogynistic company making misogynistic products, I have boycotted all Gearbox Software games.

Both opponents and proponents of misogyny in art often do not understand what actually constitutes an insulting, debasing, or hateful portrayal of women. Therefore, it is necessary for us to understand that it is not what someone shows that causes a hateful portrayal but what someone chooses to leave out. Duke Nukem Forever, a first-person shooter that was literally in development for more than a decade, sees players assuming the role of an action hero as he attempts to save the women of the world from alien kidnappers. 

At the start, one will notice all the norms from popular video games and movie franchises such asAmerican Pie or National Lampoon, including skimpy clothing, crass humor, and an overall objectification of women. Keep in mind that the objectification does not refer to the clothes that the women wear, for that is a personal choice that any woman must make by herself. Rather, it is caused by a company choice to deny female characters any sort of intelligence, inhibitions, or discrimination; something that all women employ with varying degrees and standards. However, up until this point, Duke Nukem Forever is nothing out of the ordinary in terms of crass gamer comedy.

The notable misogyny comes midway through the game in a level titled “The Hive,” when the protagonist is tasked with infiltrating an alien lair to free the kidnapped women. The women, however, have been merged with alien species and are now attached from the waist down to gigantic bodies of phallic flesh in the center of each room. The protagonist is then required to either shoot the topless women or beat them to death with the end of his rifle. At other points in the level, the player comes across doors shaped like labia and is required to perform certain acts in order to open the door, complete with an obscene comment made each time. The most disturbing part, however, is the fact that decapitated female organs are attached to the walls in the level and the protagonist can actually slap said organs to achieve a permanent health boost, titled “ego.” The loading screens leading up to the level, often bearing an instructional caption from the developers, insist that the player is allowed to slap these organs, “because real girls don’t like it when you slap theirs.” The level ends with a boss fight against a gigantic, nude female boss named the “Queen B****,” and the way to defeat her is to target the same organ that was attached to the walls of the lair.

All throughout this entire sequence, I was looking for some way to justify this horrid portrayal. Had Gearbox given me any indication that this was simply a reflection of Duke’s misogynistic personality and not their own, and that this was all part of some misplaced and demented joke, I might have been able to overlook it. However, there was nothing like that, possibly because the developers were too busy explicitly condoning the activity. They literally wrote it out as an instruction and even allowed a permanent boost to one’s "ego" if they commit such acts, insulting the standards by which real women operate. Understandably, I threw out my disc after breaking it in three pieces so that no one else could play the game because of me; I still regret purchasing it because it meant that a microscopic portion went to Gearbox.

And what is most depressing is that many will defend the game using other portrayals of attractive women in the media and video games but that is completely unfair. Yes, most video games have “fan service,” but remember that misogyny arises not out of what developers show but often what they leave out. Take, for example, Lara Croft. As the protagonist of the Tomb Raider series, the iconic character is always shown to be wearing revealing clothing. However, even though she is shown as an attractive woman, the developers always dress her with more class and contextual propriety than any of the women in Duke Nukem’s world and she has nothing left out to keep her from being a complete character; she has a personality, a goal, the ability to act, and intelligence. In Duke Nukem Forever, none of those traits are ever given to the women.

Another fantastic example is the Shenmue series. All of the adult female characters in the game wear revealing clothing (a miniskirt, a small top, or a traditional dress that does not cover the legs) but at no point is it shown that it is okay to insult, belittle, or inappropriately touch or refer to any of them. These women have deep back-stories, fantastic dialogue, complicated personalities, a life outside of the male character, and a sense of self-worth. Be it the lovable but temperamental Joy or the stern but wise Master Tao, these are not women that would give someone like Duke Nukem an ego boost, and the developers at Gearbox would never be able to create women like them because they would not have any inappropriate instructions to give, no gender to mock and no one to belittle by referring to her as a b****, or slapping her body.

Another example to consider is Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. In this psychological thriller, the player is asked to fill out a questionnaire at the beginning of the game and the subsequent levels will change based on the answers. If the player chooses to answer in the affirmative to the question of whether they enjoy erotic devices, the game is going to display subtly erotic imagery throughout, such as the plants vaguely resembling labia and the women dressing more suggestively. However, this is still different from Duke Nukem’s approach because it is far more maturely handled, done with considerable subtlety, and it is actually useful in establishing the game’s central theme of Freudian philosophy. As for Duke Nukem Forever, the purpose seems to be to cram as many crass jokes, objectification and obscene remarks about womankind within their game as are humanly possible.

Do not believe for one second that the feminist movement succeeded in ending misogyny. There are still men that cannot refer to a woman without a vulgar remark. If you know any of these men, and if they happen to be your friends, understand that you are not immune. If you are a female, they think that way about you and if you are a male, they think in those terms about your sister, your daughter, your wife, your girlfriend or your mother. And even if they do nothing of the sort to your or your loved ones, harboring such thoughts for even one woman is enough. Duke Nukem was always a misogynist; Gearbox did not create that character. However, Gearbox could have established that they are not just like him, but they were too busy rewarding such actions within the game and mocking women for not imitating the behavior that such men find desirable. Even the studio’s Collector’s Edition art book reveals some inappropriate pictures of female models with a caption about how this was the team’s “extensive research” on the subject.

For this purpose, I will not be buying Borderlands 2. Some may argue that I should discuss other Gearbox games as well, but one instance of hate is enough for me. If I have succeeded in convincing you that Gearbox is not a company that has a place in a world where men and women are equal, then I have done my job. If I have failed, however, it means that my rhetoric is simply too weak to express my disgust.

This is vary interesting, All the developers who made Tomb Rider,Silent Hills, Duke Nukem Forever, and Shenmue is making Borderland 2. Borderland is awesome, and in my opinion, when I play Borderlands, ( The original ) I feel like I am some kind of pirate. But instead of a riding a boat, I can ride a cool looking car. That is awesome.

Today 9/13/2012. New maps and final maps

To day, the new maps are coming to Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Xbox360 premium first. But when the collection hits, will there be some new guns? We know that the AK74u was in some of spec ops and in the story mode. But what is Infinity Ward update the game and give the DLC for the AK74u for free like they did for Terminal. Who knows, maybe you have to pay for it like you do with Chaos mode in spec ops.

Also, I have a really good announcement to make. Elite gotten messed up, they have an interference with the clan and lone wolf ops some days ago. And is trying to make up for it at today at ( Will it is over now by the time I post this ) 1 PM to 3 PM EST. It is close to 4:30 in the morning right now. But what is up with elite. Hopefully they will make it up not only for the clan ops but maybe we will have some double XP for like 12 hours of  something like that

And every Friday, if there is any games out, I will start my top 5 games of the week. But for this Friday, and sometimes Fridays, I will show you guys the games that are so 2 years ago and some that is older.

Online Game Save Storage Increase Coming with PS3 System Software Update (v4.25)

At this year’s Gamescom press conference, we announced that Online Game Save Storage will be upgraded to 1GB for PlayStation Plus members, and I’m happy to report that the increase will be available soon with PS3 system software update (v4.25)!

To sign up for PlayStation Plus, go to PlayStation Store on your PS3, or click here.

After you’ve installed the update, simply go to the Saved Data Utility under the Game column of the XMB. From there you can access the Online Storage folder and find any existing game saves already uploaded, as well as the increase in space to 1GB. So set your automatic download to upload every game save for every compatible game you play and enjoy the additional breathing room. You can also continue to use this feature to selectively upload game saves you specify.

This is Amazing, I had PS+ but then the membership was out, but when I herd this that it went up by like about 850 MB, that is crazy. Sorry if I don't gotten my math right, it is either a 1000 or 10000 MB to get 1 GB, but if it is 10000, then it is about 9850 MB, which still, 850 MB is a lot. That will come in handy.

Microsoft's R&D division is working on a landmark display technology that will project a full 3D game environment across the walls of player's bedrooms and living areas, a new patent filing shows.

A breakthrough device, known in the patent as an "environmental display", will project 360-degree game worlds across all four walls of a room using advanced projection technology.

Crucially, the device will also boast a 3D depth camera, which it appears can calculate the player's position by emitting infrared light patterns and registering where the player is blocking the signal. This is a similar technique used for Kinect.

But the patent suggests further immersion with the use of Kinect's 3D camera, which can separately calculate the posture and various movements of the player.

It is stated in the patent that the tech will tie into the rumoured Kinect Glasses technology that leaked in June [CVG's full analysis of that tech can be found here].

Microsoft's shutter 3D glasses are suspected to work with Kinect, with the camera registering where the player is looking by sending signals to the glasses - much in the same way a Wii knows how its remote is positioned using signals sent to the sensor bar.

The possibilities for the combined technologies are unlike anything seen before in interactive entertainment. Players could feasibly fill their rooms with full 360-degree displays, interact with a game world not just on their TV but across the walls around them, and observe 3D holograms within the room through the Kinect Glasses.

The combined devices will, in theory, will provide the most sophisticated tracking data on where the player is standing and looking.

The new patent, unearthed by Patently Apple, quotes the Microsoft document as working on "an immersive display environment is provided to a human user by projecting a peripheral image onto environmental surfaces around the user. The peripheral images serve as an extension to a primary image displayed on a primary display."

Microsoft said that "the user may enjoy an immersive 3-D experience using suitable headgear, such as active shutter glasses configured to operate in synchronization with suitable alternate-frame image sequencing at primary display and environmental display."

This sounds like the Wii in a Xbox form. But don't worry, they are probably going to add the controllers, that is what makes it easier, but who knows, maybe the Kinect will be a whole lot easier then the Wii and the Xbox 360 Kinect. But that is just my opinion, I try'd it twice, and though it wasn't worth the money, but then I thought that I should buy the Kinect again for the Xbox360, but if the 720 is easier then the  360, then I'll buy it. But for now, I should buy a Kinect for the 360 because I miss it a lot

Looks like there is a lot of games, and DLC to come. I can not wait to see the Battle Field 3 Premium  Edition. And I would like to see some game play form " I AM ALIVE " game for the PC,  I like the game and hope that it will work well for the PC.

Every Clan, well at least some clans, have rules. Here are the rules for GAME3,

1.) Be respectful, We hate that we are doing so well in a game, then a clan mate brings us down.

2.) It is a game, don't get mad, unless this is your off day or a rainy day.

3.) Be a team player. Please use a stinger or something to take out enemy kill streak. If you don't want to do that, make call outs. We are tying new strategy for the clan so that we can be the grates of all time.

4.) Do you need elite premium. Naaaaa, if you don't got the money for elite or the maps, it is fine. You don't need to be a upper mid class in america to be in the clan you know.

5.) Do you need to buy any equipment for gaming with us. Nope, it would help, but you don't need to.

6.) No voice changer, we can barley hear you if you use that.

7.) This is For PSN users. But the clan can be use for Xbox 360 members, PC members, and Wii members. I doubt that there will be anybody from the Wii that plays CoD. But if you are, that is fine.

8.) No gliches, hacks, or modz. Unless the clan leader, vice leader, co leader, or the top players can vote and agree that it is okay. But by far NO HACKS. Hackers are cheaters and they don't deserve to play. It takes them to get to the maximum level and the maximum prestige in 2 minutes. But for a lot of kids, teen, adults, and some times elders take them about a whole year to do that. That is Unfair. But there is one thing we got to admit.

9.) Life isn't fair. And when it comes to gaming, The other clans and players won't take pity on us, so make sure you put on your try hard mode. But some times, you, I, or we can goof off sometimes.

10.) MOST IMPORTANTLY, HAVE FUN. Don't struggle with yourself. That is why you bought the game right.
